Luke didn't continue with any more details after that. He just patted Meredith on her back and told her that she still had him no matter what happened. He would never let Joshua find her again. Meredith lowered her gaze. She'd already told Joshua everything she wanted to say the day she "killed herself". She didn't want to see him again or listen to his excuses anymore. He had cheated on her, and that was that. There was no need for any reasons or excuses. Meredith and Luke leaned against each other on the couch for a while. Everything was calm and peaceful on their side of the world. However, on the other side of the world, in a particular hospital, it was as if a ticking time bomb had gone off. Joshua didn't care that his leg hadn't made a recovery yet. He tried to force himself free from the bodyguard's hold, wanting to go to Newland to find Melody. He had never accepted Melody's death ever since that day. He didn't care that he'd seen her corpse or personally scattered her a
