At Beckett's place.
It was still super early when the doorbell rang. Beckett was still cuddling Maddy in bed.
"Seriously? Who rings the bell this early?" Beckett muttered grumpily.
Maddy had a hard time sleeping if she wasn't being held, so the moment Beckett woke up, she blinked groggily and sat up with him.
"You go back to sleep, I'll check it out," Beckett kissed her on the forehead.
Maddy's ears turned slightly red, but she got out of bed and padded out with him anyway.
As soon as the door opened, a whole squad of couriers started walking in with arms full of flowers—roses, lilies, bellflowers, every kind you could think of, all arranged neatly till the living room looked like a blooming garden.
Maddy's eyes lit up at the floral surprise. "Did you get these for me?"
Huge surprise for her, sure. For Beckett? More like a massive headache. He definitely didn't send them.
Grinding his teeth, Beckett asked again, "Who sent all this?"
One of the couriers held up a delivery slip. "Not sur
