It was a mess. A dump truck had flipped, burying several private cars under a pile of rubble. Rescue crews were still working nonstop.
James jumped out of his car and bolted toward the wreck like a madman, ignoring everyone trying to hold him back. He started clawing away at the debris with bare hands.

He kept digging like a machine, nails torn, red smears of blood staining the dusty stones.
