Chapter 38

After leaving Tyler's house, I headed back to Stonebrook. By then, it was already dinner time. After a whole afternoon of running around, I was feeling pretty hungry. I decided to stop by a nearby bakery and bought some leftover dry bread from the morning sales, along with a bottle of mineral water. I ate them together, but for some reason, the bread with the water didn't feel right, so I decided to buy a bottle of cold beer. After taking a few sips of the cold beer, I felt much better. I didn't stop for anything on the way and just drank beer whenever I was thirsty. By the time I got back to Stonebrook, it was around 8:00 pm. The feast was already winding down, and most of the villagers had already gone home. But there were still two tables of people drinking there, and I guessed Freddy and Brandon were there too.
