Liam felt that the best-case scenario would be that Wendy had been forcibly taken away by James. With that thought, Liam slammed his foot down on the accelerator. Even so, it still took him a full 40 minutes to reach home. Wendy wasn't at the house. There was also no news from the hospital about her showing up for work. Liam stood alone in the empty house and dialed a number he didn't have saved. "I'm looking for someone." He paused, then coldly said, "Wendy Sanders." Ten minutes later, Liam received an update on Wendy. A text message came in with the location of the police station, along with a brief explanation of the situation she was in. "Ms. Sanders brought the police to the Sanders residence, but James Frank later arrived as well. She's currently at the police station. Her condition is unclear." There was no way Wendy would be okay if both James and Mary were there. Liam didn't hesitate for even a second and immediately drove to the station. Inside the police station, a
