"I tried to stop Mister Martin, but he just pushed past me, Miss Pearl. I'm sorry!" Lily Green, Pearl's secretary, reported anxiously. Pearl remained calm, taking a sip of her tea as if the situation didn't bother her. She had nothing to worry about since she wasn't the one behind the scheme.
