I shove him away, my punch landing on his jaw, my steps falter watching how very little his head moved with the force. A chill runs down my spine as I look up into his dark obsidian eyes. Heat pools in my core, an untamed desire for him catches me for a moment, and I'm struck by his buzzing power. I'm forced to the ground, the wake of his punch echoing through my torso.
