Tristan's reaction caught Melanie off guard. She raised her head to look at him properly. There was a mixture of anxiety and uneasiness in Tristan's eyes, making him look like he was a child who just got abandoned by the world. Melanie's heart throbbed in pain at the sight. They'd just gotten acquainted with each other a few days ago. Technically speaking, their relationship wasn't supposed to be deep and intimate. But Tristan was quick to rely on her while revealing his vulnerable side to her. Melanie patted Tristan on the hand gently, her voice equally gentle. "No. I'm not remarrying him. He's just staying here for the night." Only then did Tristan heave a sigh of relief. After that, he released her hand and apologized to her. "I'm sorry, Mel. I must have crushed your hand just now. Does it still hurt?" Melanie shook her head in response. Her gaze soon landed on the cut on the corner of Tristan's lips, which made her frown. "Didn't I tell you to buy some medicine? Why haven't
