Chapter 1119
After resting for half the day, I felt much better. I wasn't just full of energy; I had also regained my strength and confidence.
After breakfast, Jonah and I headed to the office. Since Zane's gym was on the way, he decided to hitch a ride with us.
Jonah grumbled, "Hey, don't you have your own car? Why do you have to squeeze in here? Ms. Nancy's car is so small, and you're so big.
"It's gonna be overloaded. What if the tire pops? Just drive your own car!"
With that, he started trying to push Zane out of the car. However, Zane didn't fight back or argue anything. Instead, he just clung to the back of my seat.
He said with a pout, "Ms. Nancy, Jonah is picking on me."
Administering a few tricks might be a better strategy than using brute force. For Zane, his clever trick was playing the pity card.
His eyes looked so pitiful as Jonah pushed him. My heart softened, and I said, "Jonah, stop it. My car may be small, but it can fit both of you. Just buckle up—we're about to head out."
