Chapter 169
Aria’s POV
My legs burned as I ran out of the tomb.
The sounds of growling, crashing, and fighting grew louder with each step I took. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt.
Finally, I saw them, and my heart nearly stopped.
A familiar large wolf had Viktor pinned to the ground, and its claws were inches from his throat as it snarled like a wild animal.
Blood soaked both of them, but Viktor was worse, he was barely hanging on. His body was torn and he was breathing heavily.
“Tell Lilith I love her,” he rasped weakly.
Fenrir was obviously in control, so I just needed to calm him, and make him understand that I was fine.
‘Announce your presence, let Fenrir know that you're alive.’ Jade instructed sharply.
I didn’t hesitate. I stepped out fully and raised my voice to stop the madness.
“What’s going on here?!”
They both froze as they turned their heads toward me at the same time.
And instantly, my blood ran cold.
The wolf was Fenrir, but it wasn’t.
