Chapter 1085
‘Can those even be considered as options? It’s obvious that she’s forcing option B onto me!’
Shinra gave off a wry smile. The Rikihisas seemed to still be functioning calmly and peacefully only because he had been concealing the fact that the patriarch of the family had completely lost consciousness and was currently lying on his sickbed, dying.
If the others were to know that the patriarch of the Rikihisas had completely fallen into a coma, he would certainly not be able to maintain the overall stability of the family.
"Okay, you have my word." Shinra shook his head. "Ms. Rivera, with you acting as their backbone, I believe the Savatiers will surely be able to go further and prosper. Can you start the treatment today? It seems that Father’s condition isn’t looking too good."
Hearing that Shinra had agreed to her terms, Hesper nodded. "I can’t just take your word for it. We’ll sign a contract right here and now. My husband is waiting right outside the villa, and I’ll deliver the contract to him in person after you drop your signature. Only after making sure that everything is official can I be sure that you won’t go back on your words."
At this point, Shinra had no choice but to agree to everything, and Hesper took a stack of documents out of her bag immediately. It turned out that she had prepared the contract before coming over to the Rikihisas’ villa.
Seeing that Hesper came prepared, Shinra could only sign the contract and gave up on any chance of regretting it later on.
With the contract in hand, Hesper walked all the way to the gate of the villa under the eyes of all members of the Rikihisas.
Rickard was waiting for her outside the gate and walked up to her as soon as he glimpsed her silhouette from afar. "How did it go?"
"How could it possibly go wrong when I’m tackling it personally?" Hesper gave off a faint hint of slyness through her gaze. She spread her fair palms and shrugged. "Hand me the Vitalis herb. The Rikihisas’ patriarch isn’t doing too well. The sooner he gets the treatment, the safer he’ll be."
Hearing her explanation, Rickard nodded and handed the box containing Vitalis to Hesper. "I’ll be waiting for you out here."
Looking at the affectionate interaction between Rickard and Hesper from a distance, a hint of envy could be seen glimmering in the depths of Yuko’s gaze. Suddenly, as if noticing her existence, Hesper turned around and met Yuko's gaze.
Yuko was taken aback for a moment, and Hesper walked over to her.
"Don’t worry, your father has already agreed to my terms and signed the paperwork. That should mark the end of your prospective marriage with Ranfik."
Hesper was not stingy when it came to helping Yuko out. After all, both of them now shared a common goal, and Hesper could not help but feel great as long as she could stop Ranfik from getting whatever he wanted over and over again. "If there’s someone that you really love, fight for him and don’t miss him."
After saying so, Hesper turned around. "I'll get back into the room and treat Master Rikihisa first. See you around."
...
Although Master Rikihisa’s condition was much more serious than that of Quincey, the treatment process was exactly the same. Because Hesper had treated someone successfully once before, she seemed a lot more proficient and nimble this time.
After the first day of treatment, Master Rikihisa briefly regained consciousness.
Shun Rikihisa had been in a coma for a week. Shinra was surprised and overjoyed when he saw his father open his eyes, and he finally heaved a sigh of relief.
‘This woman truly is capable. Although it means exchanging the benefits that would come with a cooperation with the Mustafas, we aren't suffering a loss here!’
"Father, how do you feel?!"
Shun opened his eyes in a daze, took a glimpse at his worthless eldest son, and sighed. "I’m not dead yet, so what are you yammering about?"
After saying that, he turned his head and saw a woman standing beside his son.
