Chapter 1134

Hesper was relieved to not be questioned, so she didn't say anything more. The problem with the medication was temporarily resolved. Nathaniel was still hiding behind Ranfik, but Hesper would never let him get in the way of her plan. Fortunately, Ranfik and Nathaniel didn't have an equal partnership. If the medication plan fell apart again, Nathaniel would get into an argument with Ranfik, and that was when Hesper would strike. "Speaking of Nathaniel, someone else came to my mind." Hesper was a little anxious. "Someone is behind him. We don't know who that person is yet, but they have their eyes on Ren." Hesper didn't have time to take care of Renfrew because she was busy with everything that was happening at Leafdelle. "Ren is fine." Hesper was reassured when Rickard said that, then he continued. "You asked Isaac to go into hiding with Renfrew and I sent Kenji to keep an eye on them secretly. If something happens, he'll report it to me immediately. Hesper was amused when she heard that. She sent someone to protect Ren and Rickard send someone to protect the person protecting Ren. That was double protection and she was much more relaxed. "Everything is fine as long as Ren is safe." Renfrew was still a child, a fragile life, so Hesper couldn't put his life on the line. "Nathaniel was instructed by that person to come to the island," Hesper thought out loud. "It's impossible for him to get away from the person's help and control. We don't even know where Julian is now." Nonetheless, that person definitely had ties to the hallucinogenic case, which meant Nathaniel's visit to Leafdelle was linked to that. Now that she thought about it, Hesper suddenly realized Nathaniel showing up might not be all bad. "I've sent someone to look for Julian outside the island. If he is still out there, he'd be in Charles's hands." Hesper looked to Rickard when he spoke. "I can ask for someone to help with the search for Julian." Officer Dubois was probably still investigating Xander's case in Fredonia, not knowing she already locked him up, and Renee had people guarding him. If she let the news get out and said Julian was on the lam, Gerard would immediately find a way to find where Julian was. If Julian was in Fredonia, he wouldn't be able to escape. Hesper texted Renee who quickly replied that she would go see Gerard. However, Gerard had met Yves before this, so it was best to get Yves to go meet him. Hesper was relieved after all the arrangements were done. After setting things outside the island in motion, she could now focus her energy on what was happening in Leafdelle. She wouldn't let her underestimation of Nathaniel ruin things like before. If Rickard didn't come up with a plan, it would have had a huge impact. "Nathaniel wouldn't have as much freedom in Leafdelle as he had out there and this could be our point of attack." Hesper looked at Rickard with a glimmer in her eyes. "If Ranfik abandoned him, he would have no standing on this island. We'd be able to do whatever we want with him then, right?" Rickard thought about it and realized it was possible. "But how do we make Ranfik stop trusting Nathaniel?" Hesper looked down and tried to come up with a plan, though Rickard probably wouldn't like it. If Ranfik, who had feelings for her, found out that Nathaniel also had a 'crush' on her, he might stop working with him. Hesper wasn't too arrogant to think that because the relationship between the two men wasn't stable to begin with. If their plan worked, it wasn't because Ranfik loved Hesper more, but because he was an egoistic man and never thought of Nathaniel as his partner.
