"The testers found a lot of bacteria and viruses in the pasta donated by the Regallo Charity Foundation. Most came from rats. They said it looked as if the pasta had been scooped straight out of a rat hole." Melody stood frozen for a long moment. She couldn't believe it. "How could that be?" Regallo was one of the biggest charities in Jembina. Its public reputation had always been spotless. Even when Lydia said Regallo hadn't sent money to Green Moon Orphanage for two quarters, they just thought something had delayed the payment. They had never imagined Regallo would do anything wrong, let alone something this vile. Felicia, reluctant yet determined, handed Melody the inspection report she had just photographed. "Our newsroom has worked with this lab for years. We can trust them completely." Melody took the report. Her whole body shook. How could they dare to do something like this? Andrew's smiling face flashed across her mind, and nausea swept over her. She wanted to throw up.
