Louise chuckled-Jane truly knew what she liked. A warm bowl of soup chased off the cold from the ride home in seconds. Neither of them said much after that. They just curled up and fell asleep right there at home. The next morning, while tidying up, Louise spotted a few leftover red envelopes on the table. She hesitated for a second, put something inside one of the empty envelopes, and quietly placed it by the still-sleeping man's pillow. Her phone, which had been off all night, lit up with a flood of new messages. Sitting on the couch, Louise unlocked her phone and saw that Clara was raising a fuss in their group chat, demanding red envelopes. Turns out, while she was offline yesterday, Ava had already handed out a bunch of red envelopes. The two of them had been at it non-stop in the chat, sending hundreds of messages back and forth. Louise scrolled all the way back to the top and calmly started collecting every single red envelope. Right as she finished, Clara caught her in the act.
