Neither of them slept well that night. One was thinking about the little life growing inside her, already feeling attached-even if it wasn't born yet. The other was counting down the days with anticipation. But they weren't on the same page. Louise felt more torn than anyone. It was her baby too. She knew what it meant to be connected by blood. But as much as it hurt, she didn't have the resources or ability to raise a child right now. The next morning, her morning sickness hit hard. She could barely touch her breakfast. After what happened the night before, the air between them felt unbearably heavy. Louise let out a sigh, grabbed her car keys, and stood up. "I'm heading to work." Dominic stood up as well. "I'll take you." "No... it's okay." Dominic glanced down at her with a frown. "You're pregnant. I'm not letting you go alone." The car pulled up in front of the Bennett Corporation. Dominic turned his head to look at her carefully. "Louise, can you promise me something?" "Hmm?" "Bef
