Isabella was terrified. Jonathan loved Anna so much—what would he do to her once he found out everything? She didn’t dare imagine the consequences. Desperate, she thought of the only plan that might save her. She quickly set up her live-streaming equipment, adjusted her makeup and clothes, and worked hard to appear pitiful and delicate. Once everything was ready, she started the live stream, silently crying, her face full of grievance. “Sisters, brothers, I... I’ve been wronged...” “My boyfriend... he has another girlfriend outside! He might leave me for her, even though I’m carrying his child! Why is he doing this to me?” “He used to love me so much... How could he do this?” Through her embellished storytelling, Isabella managed to paint herself as an innocent victim. Not only that, but she twisted the truth completely, pinning all the terrible things she had done to Anna back onto Anna herself. In her version of the story, she was the helpless victim.
