Clyde's sudden sidestep threw Isabel off balance. She stumbled forward, nearly hitting the floor. She turned to him, eyes full of desperation. "Clyde, I know I messed up. But you used to care about me more than anyone. Didn't you?" His expression hardened at her words. "You've got the nerve to bring up the past?
