Chapter 2005

"Uncle Theo…" Emily stretched out her chubby hands and grabbed Theodore's hand. "I want Uncle Theo…" As she spoke, tears welled up in her big eyes, and just like Celeste, she cried so hard that she started hiccuping. She looked utterly pitiful. "If you leave me, I will cry and be upset forever!" She glared fiercely at Theodore, hoping her threats would scare him. Aaron was also terrified that Theodore might do something foolish again. He hobbled over and grabbed his hand. Emily mimicked him and grabbed Theodore's hand. Looking at the two children in front of him, whose eyes were swollen and red from crying, Theodore felt a tightness in his chest. He slowly placed the urn in Celeste's hand before wrapping one arm around Emily and the other around Aaron. Tears fell silently from his eyes. Wynn couldn't stop crying when she saw Theodore in such a wretched state. She had always complained about how troublesome her children were, but she couldn't bring herself to criticize them now.
