When Felix turned to face Matthew, he met eyes filled with merciless cruelty. He nearly jumped out of his skin. "Felix, Wilhelmina's legs shall be permanently disabled, and no one can save them!" Felix's heart leaped at Matthew's words. He wondered about what Matthew meant by that. Felix was a skilled doctor. He had briefly examined Wilhelmina's injuries earlier. They looked scary but were mostly superficial. Her legs were indeed fractured, but it was a simple, common break. With a cast and some time to heal, she would be fine.
