Allison's POV I couldn't possibly imagine what Henry's face would look like if he knew he'd dropped me off at Liam's house. The food arrived at our table, but my appetite had completely vanished. I chewed slowly, hoping to drag this dinner out as long as possible. What I really needed was for someone—anyone—to rescue me from this situation. After we finished, Liam had the waiter pack up the dessert. He checked his watch and turned to me. "It's getting late. Let me drive you home." Henry pulled his car up to the curb. "You don't need to drive me," I said quickly. "I can get home by myself." Liam's expression remained calm but firm. "It's late, and leaving a beautiful woman to fend for herself wouldn't be very gentlemanly. Please, get in." "I... I should really go back to the office to finish today's work," I stammered, desperately searching for an excuse. "Otherwise I won't be able to relax." Henry laughed. "Do I strike you as that kind of boss? I know better than to intrude on my emplo
