••• Damien’s POV ••• “Apologies for the disturbances tonight,” I told another guest and shook hands with him. The Alpha waved his hand in understanding, saying it wasn’t our fault, but the fault of Alpha Elijah and his Luna. I was stationed at the entrance of the venue with Noah and Carl to see the guests off. Thank Goddess my mother was there to comfort Victoria. “That fucker,” Eros growled in my mind. “You should have let me shift. I would have torn his limbs apart for disrupting the engagement ceremony.” I snorted, “Like you would be able to with our mate holding us and telling us we should stop.” To be honest, that was what I wanted to do too, and what I nearly did if Victoria hadn’t interrupted. Usually, when I had reached that level of anger and Eros was already simmering under my skin, no one was able to stop me from shifting. Hell, no one was even brave enough to touch me, not even Noah or Carl, because I might accidentally hurt them, but Victoria seemed to have a hold on me. H
