CHAPTER 279 DREAMS & VISIONS

When the day got brighter, Kael left for the seer’s shrine. He made his way into the infamous forest that parents used to scare their children as bedtime stories; where he had once stayed overnight in this forest during training, a task that every student in the academy who wanted to become warriors must go through. After a night in this place, Kael knew his way by heart, and in time, he arrived at the secluded hut where the seer resided. It was located in the deepest part of the forest, and the path to it was narrow. The serenity of the forest was a stark contrast to the war raging in his head with thoughts of Esme, Lilith, and now Adam. While he walked the trail, he couldn’t stop thinking of these three, but thoughts of his cousin overwhelmed him more than the others. Even though he had put him on house arrest, Kael knew he couldn’t tame Adam. There was just little he could do to protect his little cousin from himself.
