I stared at Drake after he uttered those words, my mind reeling. Was he implying what I thought he was? That he had feelings for me? It couldn’t be possible; he loved Zoe more than anyone, and we were just friends. We had established that already.
No, that wasn’t it; surely I was just reading into things. But my heart continued to race despite myself, and I found myself at a loss for words.
