The headlines were brutal—”Presenter Scarlett Exposed in Scandalous Affair” and ”Isis Confronts Husband’s Mistress On Stage.” My blood boiled. “Allen!” I barked, slamming my palm onto the desk. The echo reverberated through the room. Allen appeared almost instantly, his expression wary. “Bring Scarlett here. Now.” Within the hour, Scarlett walked into my office, her face pale but defiant.
