As Elaria picked up the papers scattered on the floor, her eyes landed on a purchase agreement-Ashbridge Legal being acquired by some holding company. She blinked, clearly caught off guard. After glancing at it twice, she quietly set it aside. Sebastian seemed to catch on. He said lightly, "Lauren missed her flight. I chased after her but never found her. Ended up crying over the phone this evening." Elaria just kept her cool, giving no response. Sebastian's tone softened, gentle and calm. "Still trying to keep your distance?"
