Anna reached out, hesitantly placing her hand over Freya's. To her surprise, Freya didn't pull away. "I can't imagine how lonely that must have been," Anna said softly. "But Freya, you should know that your strength and dedication haven't gone unnoticed. The pack respects you immensely."
Freya gave Anna a small, grateful smile. "Thank you, Anna. Your kindness... it means more than you know."
"Have you ever thought about finding a partner?" Anna asked carefully. "Surely the Luna is allowed to have a personal life too?"
Freya shook her head ruefully. "It's not that simple. The Luna's mate must be chosen carefully, with the pack's best interests in mind. And after all these years..." She trailed off, looking suddenly vulnerable. "I'm not sure I even remember how to open my heart anymore."
Anna squeezed Freya's hand gently. "It's never too late, Freya. You've given so much of yourself to Ulfheim. Maybe it's time to allow yourself some happiness too."
