Rose's POV: Rose was jolted awake by a sense of unease. Her heart was pounding as if it knew something her mind hadn't yet. The room was dark and still. And for a moment, she lay there. Trying to catch her breath, Trying to understand this sudden rush of anxiety. The phone on her nightstand buzzed. Cutting through the silence like a warning siren. She reached for it instinctively. Her hands were trembling slightly. "Hello?" She answered, her voice thick with sleep and worry. "Rose, it's Dad." She heard her father's voice, heavy with concern. That immediately amplified her own fears. "I didn't want to wake you, But I thought you should know—your mom's been taken to the hospital. They found some lumps during her check-up. They're running tests now." The words hit Rose like a physical blow. And she sat up, pushing away the last vestiges of sleep. "What? Is she okay? I need to be there. I'm coming as soon as I can." She persisted, already mentally packing a bag. H
