Rick's POV: "I can't believe you are getting married to that whore." Bethany was saying as he stepped into his office. "Whore?" Rick asked wide-eyed. "At least she didn't try to seduce me into giving her a promotion.". "That's in the past," Bethany said, giving him a dirty look". "I am being honest with you." "You don't know her past," Bethany continued. "Look, I appreciate your concern," Rick said, trying to keep his composure. "But I love Lizzie, and I know she's a good person. I'm sorry if you feel differently, but I'm not going to let your opinion change the way I feel about her." Bethany huffed, clearly annoyed by Rick's response. "I'm just trying to look out for you," she said. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into." "I appreciate that, but I'm going to make my own decisions." Rick said it firmly. "I'm sorry if that's not what you want to hear.". "I understand that you're concerned, but I'm not going to base my life decisions on what you think is bes
