Chapter 40

"I am so tired," my voice breaks as I whisper the words.  Just minutes of peace. That was all I needed. To shut out the words and moans in my mind. To get rid of the feeling of their hands all over my body.  "Come home." Dad tightens his hold on me and I try not to flinch at the pain it causes my body. "You can rest at home and I will sort this all out." He promises me as I see Miles and Mom walking towards me.  "Emily," Miles says my name but I don't look up at him. It felt hard to breathe as dad walked away with me slowly from the cliff.  The darkness flickered in front of my eyes as mom walked beside me.  Talk to me. Miles mindlink me. Please. He begs.  I am so tired, Miles. I whisper to him as I feel the tears falling down my face.  My monster. He had ripped my heart out and I was his lifeless doll once again. He would come for me again.  Someone coughs and I open my eyes slowly.
