Sydney 's POV I felt my entire body freeze, blood draining from my face. "I will text you the hospital address," Alexander said curtly before ending the call. "Oh God," sensing the urgency, Lucas quickly moved away and I leaped out of bed. The scent of pine and rain that usually calmed me did little to ease my racing heart. "Lucas, I need to go now." Not bothering with the scattered clothes across the room, I darted to my wardrobe and grabbed the first thing I saw - a dress shirt. "Stay calm, Sydney,"Aria's gentle voice echoed in my mind as my hands trembled while fastening my bra. The buttons of the shirt proved even more challenging until Lucas appeared before me. Without a word, he took over, undoing the buttons before sliding it over my head with practiced ease. I remained still, letting him dress me as my thoughts raced.
