CHAPTER 95: BUSTED
“No, I don't know her.” Victoria shook her head sideways. The blast still affected her hearing.
Some of the workers had converged on Andreas and almost slapped her, but Sophie had intervened in time, calling the guards.
“I think we should call the police," Sophie suggested, her body trembling as she saw Andreas's bleeding face and feet.
“Absolutely, ma'am," one of the workers who'd helped Victoria carry Robert to the ground floor agreed. He eyed Andreas with disdain, he and almost half the workers.
“You can't blame them, though,” Victoria thought, tapping her ears to stop the buzzing sound. “They've just lost their source of livelihood.”
“How would we explain her injuries to the cops? They will think we assaulted her.”
“But you actually did,” Victoria chirped in, and some of the workers turned to look at her, disgust on their faces.
“Are you siding with her?” one of the workers asked, his voice raised and thick. He was shirtless, his clothes lying in a pile on the floor.
