Bethany returned to Asher's side. "Ash, don't be scared. I believe you. I'm taking you home now, and we'll sort this out with them." Asher stood still, unresponsive. Bethany stepped closer and gently tugged at him. "Ash, it's okay. Let's go. I'll take you home." Asher stubbornly resisted, refusing to move, though. She frowned. What had happened in the classroom?
