Chapter 57

Georgina spent a horrible night. She couldn't find sleep at all and turned over and over on her bed until dawn came. She was gnawed by guilt for insulting Klaus last night and by melancholy because Megan was pregnant with Austin's child. She knew it was silly to be hurt by that, but she couldn't help it. The reminiscence of her past relationship with Austin made her feel the pain of his betrayal again in full force. She got out of bed and took a hot bath that helped her relax a bit. When she returned to her bedroom, she found that one of her friends from college had just texted her. Georgina knew what it was going to be about even before she opened the message.
