When Nathan came to, he still couldn't believe what was happening.
He stared at me in disbelief. "Summer, y-you… how…?"
I smiled. He really was weak. One punch had knocked him out cold until now.
Lillian was still struggling to untie him. But with those long, manicured nails, her hands were useless.
She had spent ages fiddling with the knots and still made no progress.
"Let me reintroduce myself, Nathan. I'm Summer." I smiled at him the same way I had the day we first met.
"I'm Chloe's sister."
"Yes—the same Chloe who died at your hands."
Nathan's face turned ghostly pale. He couldn't speak for a long while.
"Y-You're Chloe's sister?"
"Genuine, no fakes." I pointed at my own face. "Don't we look alike? Everyone's been saying that since we were kids."
"We do… we do." Nathan stammered. "S-Summer… for the sake of what we had, please let me go."
"I… I'm really in pain…"
I sneered out loud. "Nathan, you're truly foolish and naive."
"Why would I let you go? Pain?
