Despite Avery's response, she didn't actually care that much. She was just bantering with Mason. As long as she wasn't emotionally invested and didn't care that much, she could be much more expressive. Hearing Avery's answer put Mason in seventh heaven. As she said that, she raised her right hand and waved to him, signaling to him to hurry up and head home. Putting his hands back into his pockets, Mason said, "I'll wait until you head back in."
