Without opening her eyes, Avery said, "Sure, I'll come down." That made Mason laugh even more on his end. "My honey is so sweet." "Just wait for me. I'll be right down," she said, then ended the call. Still feeling drowsy, she closed her eyes again. But the thought of Mason waiting downstairs kept her from falling back asleep. After a moment of internal debate, she finally sat up in bed. She sat there for a moment, ruffling her hair. Then, she swung her feet to the floor and slipped into her indoor slippers. Walking out to the living room, she saw Kevin busy tidying up some drawers. When he noticed she was up, he said, "You're up early today." Avery looked at Kevin and replied, "Mason's already downstairs. I'm going to get him." Kevin looked up, startled. "He's here this early?" Avery yawned. "Yeah. He's already here." She hadn't expected Mason to be this early either. Noticing how disheveled she looked, Kevin said, "You should wash your face and change. Don't keep him waiting
