For the next couple of days, Giselle felt depressed. She didn't head to the hospital to visit Donovan at all. She just called Tony every now and then to check on Donovan's condition. Once she learned that he was safe, she gradually began to let go. Afterward, she tried to redirect her focus back to her own life with a full heart. However, whenever she had a moment to herself, a strange and suffocating sense of loneliness always seemed to creep back into her life. One afternoon, she'd just finished getting ready and was about to head to her shop when someone knocked on her door. Based on the way the person was knocking on the door, Giselle already had an inkling of who it was. The low and deliberate knock made her heart skip a beat. After taking a deep breath, she opened the door. The person that was now standing before her was none other than Donovan Kane. Giselle stared at his familiar face and felt herself grow anxious.
