Chapter 268

Giselle saw two cars parked at the corner of the deserted factory. As she staggered her way to the factory, she realized that there was no one in the deserted factory at all. The cars were probably owned by someone who had just decided to park their cars at a random spot so they could go about their business nearby. The cars were an older model with peeling paint. She reckoned that the cars would still have the traditional ignition system, and they wouldn't have a modern, smart alarm system that would notify the police automatically. Giselle picked up a brick from the ground and smashed it hard against one of the car's windows. After a very long time, the window finally gave way. She reached her hand in from the hole she made in the broken window and tugged the car door handle from the inside to let herself in. After climbing into the driver's seat, she used the brick to smash the casing of the ignition system located at the bottom of the steering wheel and pulled out some wires.
