"Justin, I like you. I really do. I don’t care if I lose face, laugh or mock me all you want—I’m not leaving. I don’t know what’s been going on with you lately, why you’ve been so down, but I just want to stay by your side. Please, don’t kick me out, okay?" Emily pleaded, her voice soft but desperate. Justin spared her a glance and muttered, "Psycho." "You’re the psycho!" Emily snapped, refusing to back off and quickly catching up to him. Justin’s patience clearly wore thin. He turned around with a frown and shoved her hard. "I told you to stop following me! Do you not understand plain English?" His voice was loud, angry. The push sent Emily stumbling onto the ground. Pain shot up from her scraped skin—it was definitely broken. She winced and blinked away the sting in her eyes. What had she done wrong? Why did Justin always treat her like this? "You pushed me... Why, Justin? Why are you being like this to me?!" Emily’s voice cracked as the tears finally spilled over. He had never laid
