Chapter 29

"Where's Elea?" Rachel asked, causing everyone to hush down. Gabe and I tensed as everyone looked at the empty spot and started to murmur amongst themselves. I looked at Jonas and saw that he was stiff, his head snapped up to meet mine. He looked guilty and as though he regretted something but I simply looked away. "She's...uhm...she's a bit busy." Gabe managed to stutter. Everyone nodded then began to eat again. I looked at Jonas again and saw that he didn't buy it. He looked at me with a stern look, "Where is she John?" I gulped, "She's upstairs Alpha, doing something. She told us that she would come down soon." He still didn't believe me. I was starting to get a little irritated. "You're lying." He said after a moment, dropping his cutlery and leaning back on his chair. That's when Gabe got up and walked over to him. He stopped once he was in front of him and took something out of his pocket.
