Chapter9: CHAPTER NINE

MADELINE'S POV.   I woke up with a sore back and the day was already far spent. Events of the previous night came flooding to my forebrain, aggravating the already present pain in my brain enclosed within the case of bones it occupied.    I remembered been escorted to my room by Alpha Konan's guards and I was repeatedly reminded that I was done for and destined to wallow in sorrow. For the first time in my life, I thought of my family and I wished upon them the same pains and agony I was going through.   Sleep eluded me and I thought of the torture Alpha Konan subjected Drey to. I hopes he survives the punishment meted out to him and I cried myself to sleep.    I noticed alpha Konan's shirt still draped on my body and I instinctively inhaled the familiar scent of musk and cedar. For some reasons, it gave me a sense of security coupled with absolute fear.    A subtle knock was heard at the door and I huddled myself together and gave permission to whomever who was at the door to come in.
