After leaving the club, Isaac went to drink at a bar alone. The place was dimly lit, filled with the noise of music and chatter. He slid into a booth and ordered a dozen bottles of liquor. When his phone rang, he instinctively hoped it was Cassidy and picked it up, heart racing with anticipation. But the caller ID showed Quinn instead. His face darkened instantly, and he hit decline.
