Chapter 3

  There had been times when she had played up to it - times when she had stood close to him, leaned over his shoulder when he was sitting down so that she brushed against him, times when she had complimented how good he was looking.   She hadn’t even really realized that she was doing it. It had all been more of a game to her than anything serious. Then again, maybe it could be both serious and a game.   They went through and she sat down on the couch. She had expected Simon to sit across from her on the armchair but instead, he sat next to her on the couch. Right next to her. She turned to him.
