I spent the next few days focused on one thing—making sure nothing like my Luna's kidnapping would ever happen again. The guilt of nearly losing her and our child haunted me. I wasn’t going to allow any more vulnerabilities to threaten my pack, especially Irene. As Alpha, I had to be more vigilant.
“Increase patrols,” I ordered, my voice sharp as I stood with the head of the pack's security team. “No area of our territory goes unguarded, day or night.”
