I woke up with a start, the bright lights quickly blinded me, causing me to wince. I rubbed my eyes, trying to get them to adjust to the light. After a minute they adjusted and the ache went away, I scanned the room, frowning. Emerald was no longer here so I can't exactly talk to her about her parents that caused Samuel pain.
