MIRIAM'S POV From my sleep I heard a loud noise so I jumped up immediately from bed and rushed to the door. As I got to my room door, the noise became louder and it sounded as though it was coming from chariots of war. Thus I ran back to bed and hurriedly covered myself with the duvet. As a result of the shock and haste I stood up with, I started having pains in my stomach. Right now, my pregnancy is a bit over seven months, and as much as I have been trying to do all the doctor prescribed just so the baby will be okay, I still had some feelings that something might just go wrong and this was it. The pain became intense and I just couldn't bear it anymore so I stood up from the bed and headed downstairs so I could get help. But as soon as I got down, I saw a crowd and the council of elders too were gathered in the compound. I went back upstairs and went to my balcony just so I can get a clear view of what is going on.
