Selena’s POV My hands were sweating under the table while I was sitting in front of Elias’s mother. She was sipping on her coffee while looking at me. She looked hesitant. Yesterday, she called me and asked to meet. So I cleared my schedule for today and met her at an open-air coffee shop. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, but I couldn’t bring myself to enjoy the ambience because of the tension the person sitting in front of me brought.
