The next day. Sunlight broke through the clouds, casting a warm glow over the entrance of the Civil Affairs Office. A sleek black Maybach was parked to the side, with Alexander sitting inside, looking visibly impatient. They were supposed to finalize the divorce today, but time had already passed, and Eira was nowhere to be seen. He glanced at his watch, eyes flicking back and forth to the view outside. "Call her," he said flatly, fingers tapping the armrest rhythmically, the impatience clear in his tone. Sitting in the front seat, Daniel flinched slightly and reached for his phone with hesitant hands. The dial tone echoed a few times-she didn't pick up. Alexander's face darkened visibly, eyebrows furrowing deeper. Was she seriously backing out now? Just as he was about to tell Daniel to call again, a flashy Lamborghini swung in out of nowhere, tires screeching as it slid neatly in front of the Maybach. Passenger door opened, and a woman in an elegant long dress stepped out gracefully.
