Matteo’s POV “A charity sale?” I echoed what James told me while standing a few meters away from where I could see my own son selling his old toys. The happiness in his eyes is priceless. He was smiling at the kids buying his toys, and this was the first time I saw him smile that way. “Yes, sir. It was to raise funds for an orphanage.” “Orphanage?” “Love and Hope Orphanage. It is where Miss Clarkson grew up.” My jaw tensed. Isabella’s influence… “Let’s go.” I turned my back and was about to leave when I noticed someone talking to the event manager. I halted my steps and stared at them. The manager immediately approached Isabella, and I witnessed how her happy expression changed. I crossed my arms, watching her. “Sir?” “What organization did you hire to organize this event?” “It was Miss Clarkson who picked the organization, sir.” My eyes turned to slits when Isabella was blocked by the woman who talked to the event manager earlier.
