Isabella’s POV I don’t know how Matteo did it, but the next morning was so peaceful and the club where Melinda is currently working continued to operate. Melinda’s colleagues were released and are working again like last night didn’t happen. Nothing about it reached the media. No one talked about it. It was fascinating how Matteo could silence everyone with just a single lift of his finger. His name is so powerful that no one dares to open the topic about last night, even when I know that there were so many people who witnessed the club getting raided. “Julian Volkov…” Melinda suddenly uttered while we were having drinks in the club. I looked at her as my brows furrowed. “Matteo’s lawyer?” She looked at me with evidence of annoyance on her face. “He’s a Russian. Handsome and all but his personality sucks.” I didn’t get to meet Julian Volkov last night at the precinct because I was busy with Melinda.
